As non-profit organization, ISR has six different committees with a board positions as well as a president and vice president. The positions assume a part time flexible work schedule, with working hours varying with the selected position and with circumstances. All functions require at least 15 hours of focused work not including event attendance.

President

As president of ISR you will have the challenging task to be responsible for all activities of ISR. You will orchestrate and coordinate the 6 committees and around 25 active members together with the help of the Vice President serving a large group of international student. As president, however your tasks are not only internally oriented but also directed towards external representation of ISR, meaning you actively shape to the internationalization of Rotterdam and impact ISR as an organization. Further you will engage in talks with education institutions, the municipality and many other key organizations to position ISR.

Vice-president

As Vice-President of ISR you will have the challenging task be partly responsible for activities of ISR. You will help to orchestrate and coordinate the 6 committees and around 25 active members together with the President. You will mainly take over part of the responsibilities of internal coordination and collaboration of committees. As Vice-President, however you will also engage in external representation of ISR, meaning that you will at times engage in talks with education institutions, the municipality and key organizations to position ISR.

Social Events

As social events officer, you are the head of a team in charge of organizing ISR events for entertainment and socializing. These activities can be social drinks, beer pong tournaments, dinners and much more. You can be as creative as you want.  As an officer, you must coordinate and oversee the tasks. You should be energetic, outgoing and have management, leadership- and communication skills.

Academic Events

As the academic events officer, you are the head of a team which organizes academic events throughout the year. You must coordinate and oversee tasks regarding contacting companies or other partners for workshops, planning and execution of events such as I-Bet, our multi day career event, case competitions, or workshops. Long term planning, management and leadership are essential.


Marketing Officer

As a Marketing Officer, your purpose is to make ISR as an organization known and promote ISR events to all international students in all universities. You must coordinate closely with the events committees as well as respect budget constraints. In addition, you will work with partner organizations for cross-marketing arrangements and create content together with your team.

Acquisition Officer

As Acquisition Officer, your purpose is to find and contract partner organizations for ISR together with a team that you coordinate. This includes finding partners for our membership concept but also acquiring sponsors for the Student Guide and other activities. Since ISR is a non-profit organization the role of the acquisition function is also to secure funding via the partnerships or promotion activities negotiated with our partners. Your negotiation, communication and strategic thinking is an essential skill that you can use and develop in this positon.

Human Resource Officer

As human resources officer, you are the head of a team in charge of organizing activities for active members. You and your team will perform activities where the active members get the opportunity to get to know each other and have fun. Further, the human resources team also organizes different trainings, and personal plans for the active members to develop their personal and professional skills.  As an officer, you must coordinate and oversee those tasks.

Information Officer

As information officer, you are the head of a team of content creators and a website manager. You must coordinate and oversee tasks regarding the website administration as well as all content creation and IT backend. Further you will be in charge of the Student Guide development, the book published and distributed several thousand times every year containing all relevant information for international Students; one of the key activities of ISR.
